Mystery of the Lake - Chapter 2

When we woke up the next morning we decided to go to the cafe and have breakfast. When we reached the cafe we were the only ones that were there. Katerina fell in love with the waiter at once. He was very handsome. He had blue eyes and brownish, blond hair. His name was brett. He was very nice and we asked him to help us get some gas because we didn’t see any gas station around here. He said that when he was going to get off work. He was going to a bigger town called Sterling. He said that he would get some gas for us.

We decided to go on a picnic while he was gone and explore. So we went to find the little girl Rose to come with us and show us a good picnic spot, so we looked for her and finally we found her. Where we found her last night on the beach. We asked her ”We are going to have a picnic. Where is a good place to have one and explore?” She answered “There is a nice cove were things wash up and a great view. I will be glad to show you it if you let me have some food.” We all agreed and took off to Coral Cove. She was right it was a great view and there was a lot of stuff on the shore. Rose wanted Josphine and Summers to come with her to a place she said that we might like. While we went to there. Where rose was standing we herd Katerina scream we hurried to where she was. She pointed in the water and there in a little jet boat was the man who was the waiter at the cafe. He was not breathing ,but his heart was barley thumping. So we all the sudden ran to get help. Katerina and rose stayed behind. As Summers and Josphine were running a boy came all the sudden out from behind a tree screaming ” I saw it I saw it.” Before we could stop him and ask what he saw, he was gone so fast it was like he was a ghost that disapered. When we reach the town we saw a a young man that looked like Bretts brother. We asked him for help. He said that he would help us. He asked his friend to get a boat ready to take him to the Sterling hospital. When we reached where we left Katerina and rose he was still not breathing ,but his heart was still faint. The young man grabed him and caried him to the boat.. There the boat went to the hospital. Katrina didn’t want to explore anymore. So we took her back to the hotel room and let her rest for awhile. Then Josphine and Summers decided to go to the public library and find out more about this place. Rose wanted to stay behind with Katerina to make sure she was okay. So we went to the library and we fond a book about the lock nest monsters. Josphine thought to her self “I’ve herd about this before I’ve never really believed it.” Then she saw photos of it. In one of the photos was a picture of a old man standing next to it basically. It was weird. Summers saw the photo and said” I haven't seen that man around and look when the photo was taken it was taken today and that old man looks like he lives in the old shack the way he is dressed.

Summers decided to go ask the police if they knew anything about this old man. Rose insisted that she go with. when they got there, they asked and the police said that they had a book about where criminals live. Summers looked though the book, and when she came to a certain page, she gasped! There on the page was the old man! His name is Silas. Summers asked if the police had any paper that she could draw the old man's face on. When she got done, she thought "I must tell my friends about this." So she drove back with Rose.

So we decided that when katerina got better we would go and find that old man and ask him questions. When we got back to the hotel Katerina was doing better. She got some news that brett is breathing and might recover. So we decided to visit him and stay two more nights and also try to find that old man.
